Bishop Wilfred Jacobus Messiah was assigned to the 15th Episcopal District by the 48th General
Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, which was held in St. Louis, Missouri,
from the 4th -11th July 2008.

A reception welcoming the new bishop and Episcopal Supervisor, Mother Carol Messiah, was held
at Bethel Memorial AME Church, Hazendal, on Sunday, 20 July 2008.

Bishop Messiah was born and bred in the 15th Episcopal District. He is the son of the late
Rev.and Mrs. PJ Messiah.
